He is an economist and an Accountant with a wealth of experience in the finance sector with a bias towards the areas of risk management, financial portfolio, and engineering as well as managing strategic business relationships. Abubakar was the Managing Director of Bauchi Investment Corporation Limited where he has served for over 14 years working with 4 different State Governors. Bauchi Investment Corporation is a Holding Company for the state Government. He was the Secretary to the state Bureau for Privatization and Economic Reform.
